Churchill Downs is officially branching outside the horse tracks and into the sportsbooks as they have Incorporated-owned sportsbook, BetAmerica. The brand transition is slowly happening in the backend, with the official switch happening in the front end with a brand new TwinSpires online sportsbook and casino into Michigan later this month. At the moment, BetAmerica’s online sportsbooks will transition to the TwinSpires brand, which are currently available in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Mississippi, Michigan, and Colorado. With such a big move happening for Churchill Downs, what does this mean for betting users on both BetAmerica and TwinSpires? Found out below bettors.

Current TwinSpires Bettors May Update

Existing TwinSpires horse bettors will continue to experience the same market-leading mobile and desktop product; however, they will now be gifted with a brand new sportsbook with new promotions and customer service. Those betting in qualifying states will now gamble on horses and significant sports in the United States. Twinspires will transfer your same horse racing account into the sportsbook if allowed.

Current BetAmerica Bettors May Update

Current BetAmerica online sportsbook players can continue to utilize the BetAmerica platform as normal before the official migration coming in late 2021. A set time and date has NOT been announced. Still, BetAmerica has sent out notices to all current users to no longer use any promotions associated with the sportsbook as they are unsure if TwinSpires can create the crossover. BetAmerica also urges players to use any free credit or rewards by the end of April to make sure the migration is smooth between bettors accounts. TwinSpires will go state by state in the migration process with already completing the transition of Pennsylvania bettors. As of April 20, the BetAmerica site in Pennsylvania is no longer available to bet on. BetAmerica users have found the migration rather much-needed since the sportsbook lacked features of the more popular competitors in the state. It also had no smartphone app with which to place sports bets or to play casino games. It’s a crossover that even Kevin Durant may want to join. Congratulations BetAmerica users to your new home TwinSpires.

New TwinSpires Bettors May Update

Are you looking for a brand new sportsbook? Users who have no ties with BetAmerica and are joining Twinspires for the first time will have a smooth and seamless transition that will take less than a minute to join. The TwinSpires sports betting app is already live in Colorado, Michigan, and Tennessee. At the moment, New Jersey is still waiting for TwinSpires approval to join the state.
