On February 9, 1966, Jack Kent Cooke was granted an NHL extension team for Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Kings were born. In 1967, they joined the ranks as one of six teams competing in the NHL Expansion. For 32 years, their home games took place at The Forum in Inglewood until 1999, when they transitioned to Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles – where they have played ever since!
