Originating in Brooklyn, New York City, back in 1883 as the Bridegrooms, the Los Angeles Dodgers have earned their name as one of Major League Baseball’s most iconic teams. After joining the National League (NL) West division and going by various nicknames throughout its history, they finally settled on “Dodgers” in 1932.
