Established in Los Angeles in 1959, the professional American football team known as the Los Angeles Chargers have made their mark in NFL history. As a charter member of the historic AFL (American Football League), they began playing games at various locations throughout LA during their inaugural season before settling down permanently in San Diego and changing their name to “San Diego Chargers” in 1961. Today, they compete as part of the AFC West division while sharing SoFi Stadium with fellow LA-based franchise, the Rams, providing an alluring home game atmosphere for locals and fans all over California!
