It was a tragic 2020 season for the Dallas Cowboys as they regressed with a 6-10 record under head coach Mike McCarthy. However, things were stacked against them due to COVID and Dak Prescott going down with a season-ending injury. With a brand new contract, Prescott is looking to take the Cowboys back into the playoffs. Thankfully, everyone will see how they can do it due to them being on this year’s HBO Hard Knocks. Could that play a role in how they perform this season? Let’s see if that four-year, $160 million arm can lead the Cowboys or not this season.
Dallas Cowboys Over / Under 9.5 wins
A lot of the Cowboys’ success is going to ride on Prescott. It seems as if he is ready to move on from the injury and start winning again in the latest interview with SI.
“I’ve buried the injury, honestly, guys. You know me, from the point of practice, from the point of just moving forward and going about my life. I’ve buried it mentally, and I think you guys and a lot of people around have to help me in burying it as well as we move forward.”
Their win total comes down to how well they do in the NFC East. In all honesty, a healthy Cowboys team should have no problem getting at least 4-5 wins in the division. New York is heading down the wrong hole, and Philadelphia is starting to rebuild. On the other side, Washington has one of the best defenses in the league, but that’s about it. Dallas can easily be one of the most well-rounded teams in the division IF everything goes according to plan. It’s been a while since that has happened, but it’s hard to fade them in this spot.
