Established in 1871 as the Boston Red Stockings, the Atlanta Braves have experienced various changes to their name throughout history. From 1912 to 1953, they were known as the Boston Braves before relocating to Milwaukee and taking on their classic moniker of ‘Milwaukee Braves’. Finally, in 1966, this beloved baseball team migrated again, settling in Atlanta and becoming what we now know as The Atlanta Braves. Now part of Major League Baseball’s National League East division, these historic ballplayers are set on continuing a thriving legacy that began more than 150 years ago!
